In the fall of 2007 the Foundation for the Awakening Mind acquired a five acre property near Williamstown, Kentucky to be used as an international spiritual healing retreat center.  In the first year of activity it has hosted dozens of people from around the world who feel the calling to learn and teach true Forgiveness.  Many more events and retreats are being planned for the coming year.

Since 1996 the Peace House in Cincinnati, OH has opened it's doors to those desiring a period of religious / spiritual retreat and study. Visitors to our locations in Cincinnati have come from all over the United States and many different countries as well as local area residents. We welcome people from everywhere to join us in Christ's love.

Retreats are usually extended weekends starting on Friday morning.  During retreats, there are scheduled scriptural study sessions, prayer periods, music and meals as a part of the day to day activity.

Devotional stays are longer and much less rigidly structured and are also highly individualized depending upon the needs of the participants and availability of missionary volunteers. Coordination of a longer stay must be arranged in advance with missionary staff. They are recommended only for those who are serious about deepening their path in a ministry calling or who wish to devote a period of time in service to the ministry.

Individual counseling is also available during retreats and devotional stays. All retreats and devotional stays must be arranged with the Awakening Mind missionary staff or coordinating volunteers.

General Daily Retreat Schedule

We invite you to participate in any and all of the sessions and we encourage you to follow your guidance throughout the retreat. As always we will be guided by the Holy Spirit, and time for prayer, meditation and reflection are supported and encouraged. As well as deep discussions/study sessions with David and the Messengers, music sessions and meditations, and inspirational/educational movie gatherings are incorporated into the teaching sessions.

7:00am - 9:00am : Individual Study and Prayer
9:00am - 10:00am : Breakfast
10:00am - 1:00pm : Morning study / worship session
1:00pm - 2:00pm : Lunch
2:00pm - 5:00pm : Afternoon study / worship session
5:00pm - 7:00pm : Unstructured rest / meditation time
7:00pm - 8:00pm : Dinner
8:00pm - 10:00pm : Movie, bonfire, music, etc.

Facilities

Accomodation at the retreat center includes one dormitory style room and two additional bedrooms. Camping spots are available during the spring, summer and fall. There are two full bathrooms, a full laundry facility, a quiet study area, a gathering room with a library of religious / spiritual books and scripture as well as helpful Awakening Mind publications and a a selection of audio mp3's, cd's and dvd's which can be used for study and training. The Sanctuary-gathering room is used to hold teaching / scriptural study sessions on a daily basis during retreats devotional stays. It is also used as a place for prayer, devotional music, worship and meditation. There is also a full kitchen and dining area. Outside is a deck with ample seating, a firepit area and a covered space for outside gatherings. The five acre property has several outside gathering areas, walking trails, and an outbuilding which can be used as a prayer / meditation area or as additional lodging for guests. All of these facilities are available for use by any of the retreatants, visitors, missionaries or those here on devotional stays.
